What I’ve Been Up To 21 & 22 October & Plans

Hi all,

Thanks for joining here from Councillor Mason’s referral. I’m working with my IT volunteers to get sorted on how to do a newsletter. I know some of you are having trouble subscribing here, but many have signed up, so stay tuned.

Monday 21 October:

-turnover meeting with Councillor Mason

-spoke on the phone with Andy Fillmore (Mayor Elect), Patty Cuttell (District 11) and Becky Kent (District 3)

-responded to remaining well-wisher notes on 4 social media platforms (haven’t got to LinkedIn yet and two more voicemails)

-scheduling tasks related to transition away from Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) work, Engineers Nova Scotia volunteer work and booking some time to slow down for a few days (I will take Friday, Saturday & Sunday off)

-another allNovaScotia phone interview

Tuesday, 22 October:

-responded to remaining well-wisher notes on campaign email account

-Engineers Nova Scotia Council meeting (final) and outgoing Councillor recognition meal

-outstanding: emails requesting action, I’ll get to these as I can in between the scheduled activities below

Upcoming:

23 – 24 Oct: few more Engineers Nova Scotia events to wrap up my term and work on campaign email action items (schedule resident, stakeholder and fellow Councillor meetings)

28 – 29 Oct: coffee meetings, NSCC visit (I’m leaving my position there for this role)

30 Oct – 18 November: HRM Council orientation

5 November: HRM Council swearing in ceremony (soon after this I should have HRM email and phone number).

12 November: first HRM Council meeting

This is starting to feel real! Thanks everyone, so far so good!
