District 7 Participatory Budgeting Winners!
Thank you so much to the 9 community groups, council constituency coordinators Andrea, Emily, Chris & Binny, Transportation Demand Management staff Sean & Dante, Councillor Hinch and the 259 (!) residents who came out to vote – your enthusiasm and support are what make this event so special each year.
$70,000 in District 7 Capital funding goes to:
1. Gorsebrook Junior High/Parent Teacher Association – $10,000
2. LeMarchant- St Thomas Elementary Greenspace Committee – $10,000
3. Inglis Street Elementary Parent Teacher Organization – $10,000
4. Phoenix House Youth Shelter- $6,893
5. Adsum House – $10,000
6. Saint Mary’s Elementary – $4,000
7. Hospice Halifax- $10,000
8. Halifax Brewery Market – $6,500
9. Ecology Action Centre- $2,607
